EduNode — Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. Scope — What This Policy Covers
1.1 This Policy covers EduNode platform Subscriptions only.
1.2 It does NOT cover lesson/Session payments. Money paid for Sessions (lesson fees) is paid directly by the Student to the Tutor or School through the Tutor's/School's own payment provider (e.g., Stripe, Wise, PayPal). EduNode does not receive, hold, escrow, process, or refund lesson money. Cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows, and refunds for Sessions are governed by the individual Tutor's/School's own terms and are arranged between the Student and the Tutor/School (and, where relevant, that Tutor's payment provider). Students should review a Tutor's/School's cancellation terms before booking.
1.3 This Policy applies to base Subscriptions and to add-on/feature Subscriptions billed by EduNode (directly or via its Merchant of Record).
2. Subscriptions Billed by EduNode (Monobank Acquiring)
2.1 Where EduNode is the seller — which is the case for all Ukrainian buyers — billing is operated through Monobank acquiring, and EduNode handles refunds for those Subscriptions directly.
2.2 Ukrainian consumers have the rights afforded by the Ukrainian Law on Consumer Rights Protection and the Ukrainian Law on Electronic Commerce, including applicable distance-contract rights. To request a refund or cancellation, contact support@edunode.co.
2.3 Refunds, where due, are returned to the original payment method used for the charge.
3. Subscriptions Billed through a Merchant of Record (Foreign Buyers)
3.1 A Subscription bought by a foreign (non-Ukrainian) buyer is sold either by EduNode directly or through a third-party Merchant of Record (seller of record). The seller for your purchase is identified at checkout before you pay, and your order confirmation records it.
3.2 Where a Merchant of Record is used, that provider is the seller for the purchase and administers billing, VAT/sales tax, and the statutory withdrawal/refund of the Subscription. Any statutory right of withdrawal (see Section 4) is then administered through that provider's checkout and refund process; requests should be made through its buyer support, and EduNode will assist where needed.
3.3 Sales-tax / VAT refunds. Because the Merchant of Record handles tax, any tax-portion adjustment follows that provider's process and may be subject to its own time limit for tax reversals; refunds requested after that window may be net of non-recoverable tax.
4. EU 14-Day Right of Withdrawal & Article 16(m) Immediate-Access Waiver
4.1 The right. If you are an EU/EEA consumer (and, with local variations, a UK consumer), you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for a Subscription, without giving a reason.
4.2 Digital services / immediate access. A Subscription gives you immediate access to digital services. Under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), you can lose the 14-day withdrawal right for digital content/services only if all of the following happen before the service begins:
- Pre-checkout disclosure — we clearly inform you, before purchase, that performance begins immediately and that you will lose the right of withdrawal once it does;
- Express prior consent — you give affirmative, express consent to begin immediately (via a non-pre-ticked checkbox or equivalent positive action);
- Acknowledgement — you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once performance begins;
- Durable-medium confirmation — we provide confirmation of that consent and acknowledgement on a durable medium (e.g., the order-confirmation email).
4.3 If you did not waive (or the conditions above were not met), you may withdraw within 14 days and we (or the Merchant of Record, where one sold you the Subscription) will refund you, less — where the law permits — an amount proportionate to the service already provided where you asked for performance to start during the withdrawal period.
4.4 How to withdraw. Use the model withdrawal form in the Annex, contact support@edunode.co, or — where a Merchant of Record sold you the Subscription — use that provider's refund flow.
5. Add-On / Feature-Subscription Refunds
5.1 Add-on and feature Subscriptions follow the same rules as the base Subscription: the same billing rail and the same seller as your base Subscription (Sections 2 and 3), and the same withdrawal/waiver mechanics as in Section 4.
5.2 Consolidated invoices that combine base and add-on Subscriptions remain subject to the applicable consumer-law rights for each line item.
5.3 Cancelling an add-on stops future billing for that add-on; it does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund of a period already lawfully charged, except where a statutory right (Section 4) applies.
