If you do not have a ФОП

What still works when you tutor a few people without a registered business — bank transfer, cash or a payment link of your own — the one declaration your students will see, and the questions only your accountant can answer.

This page is for a tutor in Ukraine who teaches a few people and has no registered business — no ФОП, no КВЕД, no business bank account. A retired teacher with a handful of regular students is the usual case.

Same rule as every page in this section: this describes the product, not your tax position. Whether the money you receive needs a registration is a question for your accountant, and the last section of this page is written to be taken to them.

The short version

One thing is closed to you, and everything else is open.

Closed: connecting a card acquirer. Monobank, LiqPay and WayForPay onboard businesses, so without a registration none of them will open an account for you — this is their rule, not ours, and the product cannot waive it. What you need before your first payment explains what they check.

Open: your public profile with its booking link, your availability, bookings, the calendar, reminders, and being paid — by bank transfer, in cash, or through a payment link of your own. Students book exactly as they would book anyone else.

The three ways a student can pay you

Which of these a student sees on the booking form depends on what you set up on your workspace. None of them needs a merchant account, and in all three the money never passes through us.

Bank transfer. The student gets your account details from the booking and transfers the money themselves. The booking then waits for you: when the transfer arrives, you confirm receipt by hand, and the session is marked paid. Nothing is automatic, which is the price of needing no account with anyone.

Cash. The student pays when you meet. Sensible only for in-person lessons; you confirm receipt afterwards the same way.

A payment link of your own. If you already collect money through a personal link — a Monobank jar, PayPal.me, Revolut or Wise — you can point the workspace at it. To the student this appears as paying by card: they pay on that page, into the account behind the link, and nothing card-related touches this site. You still confirm receipt yourself, because a personal link does not report back to us. The link has to be one of the providers the product recognises; a link to any other site is refused, so a typo cannot send a student's money somewhere unintended.

The one declaration your students will see

Before your first listing can go live, the workspace asks you a single question: do you sell as a registered business or as a private individual? Until you answer, publishing is refused with a message that says exactly this.

Choose what is true. A private individual's profile then shows students a fixed line: "Sells as a private individual, not as a business. Consumer-protection rules do not apply to this purchase." That sentence exists because consumer law entitles a buyer to know whether they are dealing with a trader. It is a statement to your students about who they are buying from. It is not a tax filing, it is not sent to any authority, and we do not check it against anything — it is yours to make and yours to get right.

If you register later, change the answer on the same page. Your existing bookings are not affected.

What we do not do

We do not check whether you should have a registration, and we do not report what you earn to anyone. We do not hold your money at any point. And we cannot tell you which group, which activity code or which receipt duty applies to you — not because it is secret, but because the answer depends on your turnover, what you teach and how you are paid, and it changes when the law does.

Questions to take to your accountant

These are the questions tutors actually search for. They have answers; the answers are about you, so this page names them instead of guessing at them.

  • Does income from tutoring, received by bank transfer or in cash, require me to register a ФОП at all — and from what amount?
  • If I register: which group fits a tutor with my turnover, and what does each group cost per year?
  • Which activity code (КВЕД) covers what I actually teach, and does an acquirer check it?
  • If students pay me by card through a personal payment link, does a fiscal receipt (ПРРО) apply to those payments? ПРРО and fiscal receipts explains what the product can and cannot do about it once you know.
  • Does the declaration I make here — private individual or registered business — need to match anything in my tax registration?

Bring the answers back, and the rest of this section tells you what to connect.
