What happens when you press the button

The slot is held and no money is taken — paying is a separate step, and a tutor who requires approval has to accept first.

The booking is created and appears in your list.

Note what has not happened: no money has been taken yet. The slot is held for you, and paying is a separate step you take from the booking's own page.

If the tutor requires approval, the booking waits for them to accept it first — up to 48 hours — and only then can it be paid.
